Mummy and Me Cake Lessons

Children love to explore new ideas, learn new dishes. Making time to bake together is a great way to build a relationship with your kids!

You can bring your kids to learn cake baking. Along with you, your kids can learn the basics of cake making. For school kids classes will begin with the basic ingredients.

First I'll show how to mix the ingredients and then you get the chance to try out yourself. I believe hands on experience as the best way to learn any art.

Cake Baking Tray

Another wonderful set of cake baking tray I got from my brother. This non-stick tray from prestige is a good companion for all my baking classes. There are many different shapes and types of baking tray available in the market. If you're using micro oven then you need silicon cake baking molds.

First Stage of Cake Baking

Mixing butter and sugar is one of the early in cake baking. The preparation this batter determines how well your cake is going to come. I use hand blender for mixing.

Here's a picture I shot while my student was working on the cake batter. If you're planning to buy hand blender, then I would suggest Murphy Richards or Philips blender.

Muffins and cupcakes are the trend in Bangalore. I see a spike in enquirers from people looking to learn the basics of muffins and cakes.

Learning muffins or cakes is no rocket science. All you need is to follow the basic steps in mixing. Once you know the right measure, cake baking is a simple task. Once you learn the basic steps, you can improvise it with different colors, shapes, icing or designs

These days many young kids are keen to learn muffins and cakes. Last month close to 55% of cake lessons were for school kids. This month saw a drop in number, probably because of their school exam.

After the annual school closing, I expect more call from parents interested to enrolled their kids for basic cake lessons.

Here's my first post on this blog. This blog is dedicated on baking tips, practices and for muffins. Here in this muffin blog specialist blog you can get more ideas and I'll get your ideas to improve my baking skills.

Currently I teach baking lessons at cambridge layout, Bangalore. I take basic level ( Introductory ) and then advanced level baking classes.
